We are looking for an Associate to join our Commodities & Steel Equity Research team to focus on Metals & Mining. 

Providing support to single stock research analysts 

Building, maintaining and updating company forecast and valuation models 

Analyzing market share, macro trend, and cross company and sub sector data analysis 

Write research notes on companies under coverage 

Working on company / sector-specific projects 

Conducting statistical analysis of economic data, fundamentals, and relevant correlations of the data

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Role Summary

The Prime Services Risk Engineering Team works very closely with internal risk managers to provide the best global risk monitoring platform, which includes real-time intraday calculators, end-of-day distributed processing systems as well as historical data analytic tools.

As a key full-stack developer of the team, you will be at the forefront of various revenue-protection technology builds and working in a fast-paced changing environment. You will collaborate with risk managers and teammates across the global to collect requirements, design solutions, implement software, conduct thorough testing, release to production as well as support post migration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, mathematics, or a related field. Your Impact                                                                                                                                                                                       

We are looking for a Lead Portfolio Manager (LPM) at the Analyst / Associate level to join the CFI Asia team which covers the APAC Private Wealth business. The candidate will be expected to work with senior LPMs to design and manage the custom fixed income SMAs, advise private wealth advisors and clients on the broad scope of GSAM fixed income solutions, and make visible business impact. This role is client-facing and highly analytical, focusing on developing and communicating customized investment solutions as well as credit and macro views to advisors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address daily business and portfolio requests for private wealth advisors
  • Conduct secondary research and develop insight materials for new business pitches, client reviews, rebalancing advice, and sales/client training. This includes but is not limited to investment-related analysis, presentation decks, commentaries, responses for client Request for Proposals (RFP), etc.
  • Oversee and direct the end-to-end portfolio management process by working close with traders, research analysts, portfolio servicing specialists, etc.
  • Attend global team calls to have portfolio strategy discussion and develop new portfolio strategies

Basic Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in technology auditor or relevant technology development or support or risk management fields 
  • Futures professional qualification of China Futures Association or candidate is expected to pass the examination within firm required timeline after employment.
  • Ability to work effectively across an audit team consisting of members in multiple locations
  • Self-driven and proactive in taking full ownership and accountability of the assigned tasks and tracking them to completion within the stipulated timelines and according to the firm’s quality standards
  • Must be highly motivated with strong analytical skills, willing and able to learn new business and system processes quickly
  • Strong experience and familiarity with China laws and regulations relating to Technology and Futures Business.
