What you’ll do:

Our Summer Analyst program is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of work as a full time Investment Banking Analyst. During the summer you will be placed within one of our industry, country or product coverage teams. Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the program in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Unique to Bank of America is our provision of a Chief Resource Officer (CRO). The CRO’s sole purpose is to manage and optimize the junior banker experience on a very hands-on manner. The

Job Description:


Performs diverse, advanced and confidential administrative support functions including composing, signing and releasing routine but somewhat complex correspondence. Usually relieves management of administrative details; gathers, compiles and reports information relevant to/for department; may manage a number of different and often conflicting objectives, projects or activities at one time. Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external managers and assistants, to coordinate a variety of meetings.

This role sits within the front office and will be working in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment. You will cover corporate and institutional accounts and market making in your group's particular range of products.   • Work with and learn from the HK Country COR team on matters and regulatory issues relevant to the entities based in Hong Kong from a Country perspective.
  • Work with and learn from one or more regional Front Line Unit (FLU) Compliance teams for example, Research, Investment Banking, Equity, FICC, etc on matters specific to these line/s of business, not only from a Country perspective, but also from an Asia point of view.
  • Work with and learn from one or more Enterprise Compliance teams based in HK for example, Registrations & Licensing, Associate Investment Management etc on matters that are relevant to the whole Enterprise, cutting across lines of business both regionally, and in some instances, globally.

Job Description – China and Asia Economist:

 

As a junior China/Asia Economist, you will be responsible for writing research and making forecasts on the Chinese economy with extension to the Asia region. The research will focus on the macroeconomic environment and its implications for investment in equity, interest rate and foreign exchange markets.

 

You will work in the China and the regional economics team and in close conjunction across the broader research team both domestically and globally. You will be primarily involved with compiling and analyzing economic data, quantitative analysis, economic forecasting, ad hoc client requests, regular contributions to written research, and interactions with both internal and external clients. The position is located in Hong Kong.

 

Required Experience:

  • Master or Ph.D. degree in Economics or Finance
  • Preferably 2+ years working as a macro analyst/economist with a macro-economic focus
  • High level written and verbal communication skills in English; fluent in Chinese or a major language in the region
  • Experience with quantitative analysis and database management. Proficiency in data programing/modeling is a plus
