JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Payments Sales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for growing and developing our treasury services, merchant services and trade business with existing and prospective clients. The Payments Sales Manager is expected to build pipeline and achieve new business sales goals through effective account planning, strong relationship management and implementation of sophisticated selling strategies. 

Job responsibilities

  • Sales of the entire Payments product suite/solution, including treasury services which covers core cash clearing, liquidity management and foreign exchange solutions; merchant services and trade & working capital.
  • Achieve new business goals, including the annual sales plan at target margins by identifying prospects/opportunities, developing the calling plans and engaging partners/ senior managers to influence prospective clients
  • In partnership with Coverage, Product, Client Services and Implementation teams to initiate the execution of the sales strategy, to achieve business sales objectives, expand market share and increase the share of wallet and revenue with strategic China HQ-ed multinational corporate clients
  • Understand the unique challenges and requirements in the industry/client segment and partner with internal stakeholders in the development, implementation and delivery of complex products and solutions
  • Build trusted, long-term Payments business relationships by taking a holistic and forward-looking view on our relationships, and identifying ways to help clients achieve their business priorities and treasury objectives
  • Engage clients at strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions with a consultative and client focused approach
  • Managing entire sales process, including supervising the end-to-end implementation and day-to-day operations of client solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Treasury Services sales with proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win and close new businesses
  • Strong knowledge in cash & liquidity management products. In-depth understanding of Hong Kong and APAC regional transaction banking landscape, with the intellectual curiosity to keep up with the ever-changing market.
  • Established network and experience working with China HQ-ed multinational corporate clients
  • Strong client ownership with proven ability to mobilize available resources to deliver for clients
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Chinese Mandarin fluency required to cater our Mandarin speaking clients.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Exposure to various functions including coverage, sales, product, and client service, etc.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
