Job Description

We are looking for candidates who are professional in researching and developing new Extended Reality (XR) application. As a research software engineer, you will be involved in many of the key areas of the XR medical application; from building new spatial sensing and spatial guidance features, integrating 3D assets through pipeline tools and creating interactive scenarios that are realistic and optimized for high frame rates and low latency. Our vision is to work with hospital to implement digitization of surgical operation and eventually construct an intelligent surgical system to achieve smart hospital initiative.

You are a team player and experienced in working with other intelligent training or work guidance system, such as flight simulation and industrial maintenance solution. This is a fast-paced production environment with the top industrial talents as your peers. You should be proactive and independently driven and strive to take your work from inception to launch.

Responsibilities

Research and develop new XR application for medical users, such as medical image registration and spatial tracking of surgical instruments
Research and develop integration platform to optimize 3D assets in Unity game engine without sacrificing visual quality or exceeding technical limits of different display unit, such as XR headsets, PCs, tablets and mobile devices

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with Unity
Scripting expertise in Unity (C#) and Python
2+ years of solid experience as a software engineer/developer, AR/VR experience is preferred
Preferably holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Building Engineering, Multimedia, or related engineering disciplines
Good team player, self-motivated, flexible, responsible, and positive attribute
Passion for playing games and developing games

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise with content optimizations for run-time performance
Experience working with UX designers
