You will join the global team working on a global solution servicing multiple locations, such as Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Monaco, United Kingdom/Jersey, Austria, Taiwan, Australia, etc., with product suitability and regulatory compliance checks services. Your expertise

• minimally more than 5 years of experience in software development
• solid experience of requirement analysis, engineering & management with medium to large scale of application systems
• experience in software development such Shell scripting, SQL programming, Java programming
• excellent communication skills and good team player
• azure cloud services working experience is a plus
• knowledge of financial products is a plus

Your role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to:

• provide technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• analyze business requirements for the Securities & Confirmations APAC crew of the Investment Banking division
• design, plan and deliver sustainable Cloud and microservice-based solutions using a modern programming language like Java
• apply software engineering best practices and standards to ensure our applications are robust, reliable, and secure
• provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications in the reporting and other post-trade activities
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production

Your team

You’ll be working in the Hong Kong-based Emerging Markets Technology team, which is a part of the Technology division in the Asia Pacific region. We are a small but enthusiastic group of fellow developers solving problems and supporting our Operations teams in the Securities & Confirmations APAC area. As a Software Engineer, you’ll play an important part to deliver value to our users.

Your expertise

• ideally of 8 years of experience in Java in producing clean, stable, well-performing and secure code
• comfortable working in SQL and relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
• possess practical experience in skills like software testing, Dev Ops, Git and Cloud. Having a background in Azure and its services would be a major plus
• having experience in front-end (user interface) development using ReactJS, Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework would be a nice-to-have as well
• C# would also be desirable but not required
• comfortable working in an agile model
• having experience and exposure to different platforms in Microsoft Windows and Linux, but if not, is willing to learn
• able design, plan, and deliver solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment

Your role

Are you a client relationship professional in fund distribution? We're looking for someone like this to:

- show strong ownership in your own accounts, including strategic planning and relationship management for our existing third-party fund distributors (private banks, consumer banks, and insurance companies) and UBS wealth management.
- collaborate with other CRMs to identify new business opportunities and expand the existing client relationship to the benefit of both the client and UBS.
- oversee the onboarding process for new client / fund, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of services offered.
- monitor industry trends, competitor activities and market conditions to inform client strategies and product offerings.

Your team

You'll be working in the fast-growing Hong Kong Wholesale Client Coverage Team and handling some of our key clients. You'll be able to draw on the strength of UBS traditional fund strategies, as well as alternative investments to give your clients whatever they need.

Your expertise

- a bachelor degree with ideally 3-5 years of business development experience in financial industry (experience in asset management industry is preferred)

You will join the APAC Public Distribution Trading desk. The team is an expert quantitative front-office group, partnering with Public Distribution traders, sales and risk managers. Our team is responsible for building top grade, high performance quantitative based solutions to optimize pricing and trading, inventory, risk management and client interaction.

Your expertise

• 3-5 years of C/C++ and FPGA experience, ideally within financial services.
• Degree or higher in a quantitative field / applied science e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics etc.
• Desire to learn low latency Java coupled with excellent design and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, organized and detail-oriented with an understanding of the banking industry.
• Ability to design elegant solutions, write clean code and solve complex business problems.
• Prior experience of Orthogone FPGA tooling and Hong Kong Exchange connectivity would be of benefit.

– Understand the F2B operational risks and responsible for the service delivery of ETD day to day margin and collateral management for Asia Pacific
– Work closely with Client Services team, Business and Credit Risk to facilitate exchange funding and client margin calls, pledging activities, dispute management to meet tight market deadlines.
– Perform front-to-back controls to ensure collateral position and margin requirements are properly reconciled
– Proactively understand the rules and regulations, documentation governing the booking models and collateralization of products, and interpreting market rules in this fast changing banking environment
– Engage with external clients and internal partners to provide operational support and advice on margin flow and operational risks
– Participate in process enhancements, collateral optimization, digitalization and new business initiatives

Your team

You’ll be working in the Global Collateral and Margin Management team in Hong Kong. We are primarily responsible for the service delivery of margin and collateral management for Asia Pacific across wide range of products in including Centrally Cleared and Non-Centrally Cleared OTC derivatives, Exchange Traded Derivative, Prime Brokerage, Repo and Securities Lending with the purpose of covering UBS exposure which could have the potential for counterparty default, and also fulfilling margin rules and regulatory requirements. The team also covers Trade Valuations reporting to clients of UBS.

– 2 years of experience working in Collateral related areas
– The ability to pick up new tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment
– Good working knowledge of Excel. Some VBA knowledge will be beneficial
