Supervise a maintenance team for implementing improvement works of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and telecommunication electronic equipment, to deliver a reliable workshop service on electronic equipment for rolling stock, station and infrastructure electronic systems
Take an important role in the asset management activities in Central Electronic Workshop including carrying out asset replacement studies, asset life assurance studies and holistic review of various systems, and implementing refurbishment / replacement of exhausted electronic equipment under asset life assurance projects
Review, identify areas of improvements and make improvement proposals on the process of asset management activities such as asset condition assessments and asset life assurance studies
Provide technical support on the maintenance activities of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, AFC and telecommunication electronic equipment in areas such as introducing new testing method or testing facilities to enhance the maintenance efficiency and capabilities, and sourcing of alternatives for obsolete components
Work closely with partners from depots, station maintenance and Infrastructure Maintenance Department to ensure the performance of the electronic system and propose improvements in the maintenance regime
Support fault investigation, identify the root cause, and propose remedial actions
Supervise the contractor working, as well as the term labour working in Central Electronic Workshop
Requirements
Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
Self-motivated, with good analytical and interpersonal skills
Remarks
Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
Work offshore to support the Corporation’s growth business when needed
Required to perform shift duties on irregular patterns of hours
