Associate Director – Technical Product Owner (Information Technology)

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering and operating the investment management solution platform (IMP) and associated data warehouse to support business operation and data analytics work of the Exchange Fund Investment Office
Manage multiple teams of technologists with specialities and solution implementation and provide mentorship to team members
As the product owner of the IMP, collaborate with businesses and different IT teams to support business growth and daily operations
Lead end-to-end implementation of IMP; manage delivery with both internal teams and external technology vendors to ensure strategic fit and long term TCO optimization
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture team on corporate-wide architecture strategy and implement platform roadmaps to meet current and future needs of the HKMA
Keep abreast of relevant technological advancements and development of regulatory compliance, as well as industry best practices for continuous improvement

Requirements

University degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields
At least three years of experience in managing technology delivery and software engineering
Experience in delivery of enterprise-scale solution, preferably in a virtualized environment
Good knowledge of agile methodology and DevOps
Sound understanding of treasury operations from front-to-back offices and various kinds of financial products
Familiar with product commercialization to equip business users with the knowledge and skills to adopt the technology product effectively
Project experience in implementing and supporting enterprise-scale investment management solution, data warehouse and data analytics solution preferred
Experience in developing interfaces to integrate various data sources into data warehouse a plus
Strong technical leadership, with experience in digital technologies, including data platform adoption, web development, workflow automation, low code development platform, etc.
Team management and problem-solving skills; self-motivated, creative and with proven track record in developing and driving corporate-wide initiatives
Ability to conduct researches and analyses thoroughly and resourcefully
Strong interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills

Conditions of service

Successful candidate will be appointed on fixed contract terms
