Role And Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for working closely with the Senior Sustainability Manager – Environment & Climate to support the development and delivery of The New World Group Environment & Climate Strategy.

• Develop environmental, decarbonization and climate resilience roadmap for the organization to achieve the committed net zero target and interim environmental targets.
• Develop a carbon prediction model to help formulating and prioritizing net zero strategies.
• Support the climate risk (physical and transitional) assessment for the organization and deliver engagements that relate to climate mitigation, climate adaptation, climate risk and resilience across our eco-system.
• Collaborate with business units on implementation of decarbonization and climate initiatives.
• Support the development of innovative solutions leveraging data and technology.

Requirements

• At least 8 years industry experience ideally working in corporate sustainability and/or consulting roles supporting the real estate and/or construction sector in environment & climate related sustainability including but limited to TCFD, decarbonization and efficiency.

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in sustainability, engineering and/or science related fields.
• Project Management experience

• An experienced practitioner in environment, climate and decarbonization who is connected with industry and relevant expert peer groups.
• Provided technical support on environment & climate related due diligence for new investments, projects or operations.
• Project management abilities, balancing key deliverable milestones, budgets and resources across multiple initiatives while understanding key critical path and decision-making priorities.
• Proven communication and engagement skills, working with different internal and external stakeholders/ consultants to deliver measurable improvement in sustainability performance, ratings & reporting performance.
• In-depth understanding on GHG Protocol and carbon accounting methodology.
• Experienced in physical and transitional climate risk assessment, TCFD reporting guidelines, and internal carbon pricing for real estate industry / conglomerate.
• Experienced in using MS Excel VBA / Power BI / Tableau / other BI tools
• Understanding the concept of embodied carbon and the relevancy in the real estate industry.
