Director (Financial Market Infrastructure Services)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team to formulate and implement a forward-thinking strategy to modernise Hong Kong’s Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI)
• Lead and manage large-scale modernisation projects to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery
• Conduct market research and analysis on the latest advancements in the FMI sector globally (e.g. bond tokenisation, CBDC, payment innovations, central securities depositories, and trade repositories)
• Build a dynamic talent pool to identify and nurture FMI talent, fostering a culture of innovation

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in business administration or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in international or domestic bond settlement operations, with a strong track record
• Expertise and solid experience in project and vendor management
• Thorough understanding of market access in Mainland China
• Passion for talent development
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as blockchain, cloud, AI, and asset tokenisation a plus
• Excellent command of English, Cantonese, and Putonghua

(Selected candidate will be seconded to work in the Hong Kong FMI Services Limited)

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Associate Director level.)

Conditions of service

• Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms
