Laboratory Manager- based in Shenzhen

The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for lab purchasing, budget keeping, assigning lab responsibilities, breeding and maintaining mouse colonies, supervising all mouse experiments and serve as a knowledge/support resource to other lab members and the key to keeping the lab running smoothly.

Role & Responsibilities:

Facilitate the design and construction of new research laboratory in Shen Zhen; resolving issues in the construction process by communicating with users and contractors; overseeing the renovations of research laboratory
Manage the daily operations of research laboratories, including equipment management
Responsible for literature research and maintaining biomedical informatic databases
Responsible for experimental design (in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacological testing), data analysis, prototype production, technology transfer, documentation and filing.
Responsible for patent applications, project proposal and manuscript writing.
Uphold the laboratory's regulations and policies to maintain a safe and productive work environment
Responsible for team hiring, training and other line management responsibilities
Support lab team members with various research/experiment-related tasks.
Ensure the team are fully motivated, committed and are a high performing, reliable team
Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately, and the teams lab books are kept up to date as per company guidelines
Perform any related duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge & Requirements:

PhD in Medical Laboratory Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences or equivalent
7 years of relevant working experience with laboratory management
Good personal integrity, responsible and trustworthy
Independent, proactive, meticulous, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced working environment;
Proven ability to lead, motivate, mentor and develop a team of scientists. Good team player with good interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in both English & Chinese
Work based in ShenZhen with occasional travel to Hong Kong office for meeting
