Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in digital marketing with platforms, agencies, and partners.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience creating and implementing sales strategies with customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with excellent problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take ownership for decisions, secure support, and remove key obstacles.
  • Passion for value-based solution selling with a drive to innovate.

About the job

With a rapidly growing array of sales teams, it's important to have knowledgeable, charismatic leaders to guide our client sales teams. As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

The Google Customer Sales (GCS) team keeps Google growing with our scaled and small-sized customers. We are dedicated to developing this expanding customer base and leveraging Google’s solutions to make them successful online to offline. We are responsible for growing customers’ overall business by educating and consulting with them directly. GCS Sales team members are proactive, motivated, team-oriented, and enthusiastic about supporting the success of our advertisers. In this role, you will manage teams responsible for bringing consultative solutions to companies that are learning and developing on how to take the most out of digital advertising in searches, displays, and video in an increasingly mobile world. As a member of the team, you will help develop compelling and scalable solutions for our large customer base and coach many creative Googlers.

In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of client-facing and high-performing Googlers to create a goal-oriented culture with inclusivity and collaboration in mind.
  • Coach your team on engaging with and influencing stakeholders across your team’s portfolios to deliver client success and shared business results.
  • Lead your team in analyzing customer data and industry trends to develop strategic plans for customers and/or partners.
  • Lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key C-level meetings, business reviews, and speaking engagements.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver digital complex solutions. Create a culture of sales innovation and customer success on the team based on diverse, equitable, and inclusive team environment.
