The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-caliber and experienced professional to join our Creative Department. 

Responsibilities:

  • To propose and execute digital marketing plans to promote the team’s fashion events
  • To work with the team on proposing marketing strategies to promote local young designers and assist the team to drive social media initiatives and website content/ activities to grow and engage followers as well as maximize brand awareness
  •  To plan offline media publicity and explore cooperation with media partners in promoting the fashion events. To co-ordinate fashion shows/ events materials for publicity use
  • To handle guest & celebrity invitation for important fashion events and to assist in boosting the publicity
  • To review website and social media performance, study followers and readers behaviour and adjust content to maximize engagement
  • To assist in fashion photo shoots for publications and promotional materials

    Requirements:

  • University degree holder in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of solid experience in marketing / social media and online promotion / public relations, preferably in the fashion industry
  • Passionate about promoting fashion and lifestyle activities and be highly innovative and flexible in marketing planning
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail. Fluent in English and Chinese
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and Chinese Word Processing
  • Knowledge in Google Analytics, CMS and basic skills of graphic design are definite advantage
  • Self-motivated and innovative with good interpersonal and project management skills
  • Organized, meticulous, able to work multi-task independently and meet tight deadlines

Remuneration and Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of workers from service providers, keep track of their attendance records
  • Prepare monthly wage summary / agencies fees in a timely manner
  • Control the issue and return of access control cards issued to service providers
  • Ensure the Business Registration Certificate and Employees’ Compensation Notice from service providers and sub-contractors are valid
  • Verify invoices of contractors for projects
  • Maintain an efficient filing system for equipment repairs and maintenance record
  • Assist in preparing tender and ISO documents and maintain proper filing system
  • Provide administrative support to the team as and when required

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in human resources and administration works in Exhibition Industry
  • Conversant with Employment Ordinance and Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance
  • Experience in ISO projects is an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Chinese word-processing.  Knowledge of human resources system is an advantage
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Multi-tasking and able to meet tight deadlines

Manager, Communications & Public Affairs

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Section Head, Communications & Public Affairs, the job-holder will support the HKTDC’s events communications and media relations.

  • Plan and oversee the implementation of holistic communications and media relations programmes to support HKTDC’s corporate activities, promotional programmes, executive profiling, public affairs and issues management, and project, event or business unit publicity
  • Help coordinate campaigns and promotion activities among different teams and departments
  • Supervise agencies and vendors to conduct full range of media and marketing communications activities such as press events, press release and speech drafting, media pitching and media enquiry handling, and others
  • Draft external bilingual communications for senior executives and organisation, including key messages, speeches, talk notes, etc.
  • Plan and execute content and media-related aspects of integrated marketing communications programmes
  • Assist in planning and executing corporate branding and public engagement programmes
  • Manage media monitoring

Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree or equivalent with at least seven years' experience in media, and/or corporate communication and related fields in an executive capacity with proven track record. Experience in media or journalism is an added advantage. 
  • Proven record in campaign planning and implementation, good coordination of cross-teams’ tasks and have achieved good results.
  • Excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills, and with experience gained from PR agency would be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of current media landscape and effective use of publicity channels in local and Greater China contexts; regional and international exposure will be an advantage
  • Digital media knowledge is a valued advantage
  • Experienced in working in large, matrixed organisations
  • Strong command of both written and oral English and Chinese. Fluent in Putonghua. Good writing skills with experience in writing corporate materials and content.

Responsibilities:

  • As the leader of the Research Department's "Special Projects and Business Advisory" team, you will be responsible for guiding a group of skilled researchers and mainland business advisors to deliver research insights and timely business advice on China trade and cross-border business matters for Hong Kong's business community. 
  • Your role will also involve establishing strong connections with government departments, business associations, and think tanks in both Hong Kong and mainland China to undertake crucial joint research projects. 
  • Additionally, you will manage a dedicated statistical team responsible for the collection and compilation of trade-related statistics and economic data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their work to support the Council's missions.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Economics, Business Management, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven track record in economic research and business advisory, with a total of at least 10 years of working experience. 
  • Solid knowledge of international trade and mainland China/Hong Kong's business environment, with a specific understanding of Hong Kong's SME operations considered an added advantage. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire an adept team, exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese languages, including Putonghua and Cantonese. 
  • Familiarity with statistical and forecasting techniques, as well as related software tools like SPSS and Tableau, is an added advantage.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for a lower level staff position.

 

Remuneration and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a two-year contract with prospects for renewal upon expiry. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus an appropriate contract-end gratuity. Medical benefits and annual leave will be offered.
